Vintage Inspired Christmas Tree | BentleyBlonde

The Christmas tree is always the first thing to go up at our house when we start decorating for the holiday season. And when I say season, I mean October, because we are Christmas crazy over here!
I just can't get enough of the magic and goodwill that the holidays bring, and I love to reflect that warmth and spirit in our decor!

I'm so honored and excited to be joining a group of talented influencers this season to share our decorated Treetopia trees, as well as the Black Friday and Cyber Monday "All For You Christmas" sale from Treetopia! (Trees are up to 50% off during the sale! more sale info below)

This year, I knew I wanted to invoke a more nostalgic feel with a vintage inspired Christmas tree. When I saw this gorgeous Snowy Spruce Flocked Christmas Tree from Treetopia, I knew it would be perfect! This tree's thick white flocking looks just like freshly fallen snow, while it's slim, down swept silhouette makes it perfect for this cozy little corner in our dining room.

I had so much fun hunting for vintage ornaments for our tree throughout the year! You can tell that each shiny, glass bauble holds a warm Christmas memory of the past. I found most of the vintage beauties at local antique shops and on eBay. The Retro Tinsel Garland is from World Market, the Vintage bead garland is from ebay, and I also added in a few vintage replica Shiny Brite ornaments from Christopher Radko, the sparkle they give off is incredible!
I love how the snowy spruce's white branches create the perfect backdrop for the colorful ornaments and garland.

I also went with a more colorful vintage theme for our tablescape this year by adding greenery, Shiny Brite ornaments, wooden snowflakes and place settings complete with vintage bottle brush trees.
Our hot cocoa bar also got a retro makeover with the addition of winking santa mugs, and ceramic christmas trees.

Get excited you guys, because Treetopia is offering some amazing Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals during their All For You Christmas sale! Treetopia's Black Friday Sale runs from November 21-23, 2018! Their Cyber Monday Sale runs from November 24-26, 2018. Use the links below to shop Sale Items:

Christmas 2018 Home Decor Trends | BentleyBlonde

Hi Everyone! I am so excited to be joining so many talented bloggers for my first Christmas in July Blog Hop! If you're new to my blog, thank you so much for stopping by. Welcome, if you just came to my blog from my sweet friend Brittany at Addison's Wonderland. If you haven't visited her site yet, be sure to take a look! Brittany is an incredibly talented interior designer with such elegant style, and I know you'll have enjoyed her tour.

Today I'll be sharing a couple photos of my Christmas decorations from last year, as well as sharing my take on decor trends for this upcoming Christmas 2018!

Last year I decided on a classic red ticking stripe theme to add a punch of color to our flocked wonderland. I loved how the warm red berry branches, and thick canvas ribbon added dimension to our tree and garland. Hope you enjoy these photos from around our home. I also shared a full Christmas house tour on my Youtube channel HERE

Want to know what I think will be "in" this holiday season? Check out my predicted top decor themes for Christmas 2018 below!

Flocked Trees and Garland

Flocked trees and trimmings add a touch of snowy wonder to any holiday space! The beauty of flocked trees is that they can look just as beautiful naked as they do decked out with ornaments. All of our flocked trees are from King of Christmas, and I've linked them individually further down in this post. Hands down, King of Christmas has the fullest, and most natural looking flocked trees on the market and they hardly shed! (a major bonus for this clean freak mama)

Winter Wonderland

Sticking with the ever popular snowy theme, trees decorated with  white faux fur, feather boas and even dollar store dusters (read more about them at CraftBerry Bush) will be center stage this year! Achieve this look by draping a thick, white boa in your tree, add snowy picks and flocked pinecones to add dimension.

Neutral Farmhouse

Rustic touches and neutral muted tones continue to rein supreme in the decor world this holiday season. To achieve this look, try placing tabletop trees in rustic steel buckets, add a burlap runner with fresh pine trimmings to the table, and accent with wooden candlesticks and various textured pillows.

Red Ticking Stripe

A classic Christmas fabric like red ticking stripe will add a touch of nostalgia, and a pop of color to your holiday decor! I went with the red ticking stripe theme in our home last year by tucking curls of ribbon throughout our flocked tree, and tied onto rustic lanterns.

Black & White Buffalo Check

The perfect farmhouse touch, buffalo check, will be making a big appearance this Christmas in it's trendiest color variation, black and white. I'm loving this look and majorly considering this fabric as the inspiration for our Christmas 2018 decor theme!

Colorful Vintage

Everything old is new again! Beautiful frosted glass ornaments, colorful vintage bulbs and other nostalgic touches are making a big comeback. Try this look out by checking out your local thrift store or antique shop for hidden treasures!
